Proposal description
This proposal is cross-posted from the Dash Forum.
This proposal replenishes the Dash Core Group recruiting budget, which is currently depleted.
We initially formed a recruiting budget back in the April budget cycle to help expand the team leveraging an external professional recruiter. If you are unfamiliar with the benefits of an external recruiter, you can see the details on the areas of support provided through the original budget description here: https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/proposal-professional-recruiting.13994/
While we've added Spencer Stepnicka to the team last year as a full-time recruiter for the team, our recruiting needs occasionally exceed his capacity or specialty (primarily for technical roles). As we continue expanding the team in the areas of finance, business development, marketing, and management roles, we anticipate the immediate need for additional supplemental recruiting capacity.
The previous professional recruiting budget of $48,000 supported our outbound recruiting searches for the past 9 months. The longevity of the budget was supported by the price increases throughout 2017.
For cost reasons, we plan to continue leveraging internal recruiting staff whenever feasible, but do believe that broader outbound searches are warranted for critical senior roles, or when existing searches far outstrip our search capacity.
If you have any other questions, please direct them to @Ryan Taylor in the original Forum post. The link is at the top.
Requested funding is as follows for the February 1st budget cycle:
Note: Should any funding remain, we will apply it toward other professional HR outsourcing expenses.
