Proposal description

A 72% decline in the purchasing power of the current Dash Colombia proposal (59 dash per month) and 6 months of overdelivering while working on partial salaries means we need 120 additional Dash per month for 2 months to avoid losing the momentum Dash has built in Colombia.

Noteworthy Results to Date
  1. 272 new Dash merchants, 314 total, #3 globally after Venezuela and the US (60% of proposal goal in half the proposal time period despite the bear market).
  2. 1,354 active Dash Android wallet installs, as of Nov 30, #3 globally after Venezuela and the US (far ahead of schedule).

Why Vote Yes
  1. You would like Dash Colombia to continue growing at its current rate.
  2. You would like to safeguard what we have built in Colombia over the last 6 months.
  3. You want us to continue developing our low-cost merchant-centric strategy for Dash adoption so it can be effectively applied on a larger scale once the bear market is over.

We are very fortunate to have George Donnelly and his team working for Dash. They never miss an event (ie the CoinLogiq event), they work very hard and produce real results leading to adoption, and the Dash community benefits so much! Many thanks to you all! Voting YES!! -- By the way, I now have TWO Dash merchants within a 5 minute walking distance of my home and at least 20 more merchants only 15 minutes away by bus! I am so lucky to live in Colombia!

Great job George, a suggestion, it would be interesting to work in integrating shops in airports and shopping centers since from the focus of work, you have many shops in a short space of time.

It would also be interesting in the areas of export and import in the area (fruits, fish, meat ..) especially with Venezuela, you could coordinate this aspect with the Venezuelan teams.

You have my support

Thanks blockchaintech! Getting shops in airports and shopping malls is more challenging because these are formalized businesses who have paid extra (in rent, etc) to have a higher-quality location which they think will guarantee them a better return with less risk. So they are less interested in taking a risk with Dash. But we are working on the shopping malls, yes, and have made some progress.

Fresh food is a very challenging area because the profit margins are slim and they need fiat cash on extremely short notice. But I will see what progress can be made there, absolutely.

Thanks for your suggestions!

easy YES. Impressive. I suspect 'Dash as a speculative investment' and the remittance market and would rank higher than payments in Venezuela (in terms of volume). But either way, the projects in Venezuela and Colombia are providing some great groundwork/awareness (beyond these countries too).
Dare I say it, but I do fear that a some stage a Venezuelan govt could try and "control" Dash, via yet another authoritarian socialist leaning govt. I say this due to ongoing prevalence of such govts within South America. But hey, none of us have control over this, and I am very happy with the progress in South America :-)

Thanks Criticalinput. Venezuela and Colombia can serve as the foundation for a self-sustaining Dash-dominated economy across Latin America, which is the best region for crypto dominance anyway. Here, at least, we are starting small, but we have our eyes on the whole region.

It's a big ask in this bear market and tight budget cycle but George has proven himself to be someone who gets shit done, I think we need to make a big push in Columbia to cement our dominance there.
Yes votes incoming!
