Proposal description

DASH FORCE MISSION STATEMENT

We at the Dash Force aim to be the Dash community's front line of defense and support. Our mission is to provide support to the human ecosystem surrounding Dash, ensuring that its network effects are maximized by building a community that is the envy of the digital currency world.

Whether it be countering online trolls, reporting critical news, helping local meetups flourish, encouraging economic activity to newly integrated services and exchanges, or bringing in new members and fans, we will do our best to ensure that Dash's community grows and strengthens into a positive social movement behind some of the most amazing and revolutionary technology of our time.

Above all, we seek to conduct ourselves as ambassadors of the Dash community in a polite and professional manner, using honesty and genuine goodwill to represent and preserve Dash's positive and community-focused brand, and relentless tenacity and commitment to quality work to ensure that the job gets done right.

The Dash Force Team has been very busy the last several months with the Testnet contest, Dash Force meetup and presentation contests as well as the Bitfinex and Wall of Coins contests. We have also managed several different DashForce_tips contests/task as well as created the slack Mod Squad program and helped out the #women_of_dash with a small tipping budget. We have sponsored bug bounties for the Dash.org website and successfully helped on several other community related task. The last major initiative was the General Bytes Dash CTM/ATM thunderclap social media campaign that successfully reached around 500,000 people on Twitter, Facebook and other social media platforms.

Over the last several months myself @mastermined, Mark Mason @niburuhybrid, Joel Valenzuela @thedesertlynx and other Swarm members have been heavily engaged in YouTube and Reddit debates with conversations lasting hours and going on for days/weeks.
Now that the Dash Force News website is complete we will once again refocus our efforts on Swarm Troll Patrol and be able to spend more time on community building and outreach. We will also be launching an updated Meetup and presentation contest to focus on merchant adoption, a new website (Discover Dash) as well as two new YouTube based contest.

Discover Dash:
In an effort to provide the Dash community with the necessary resources to reach mass adoption as quickly as possible, we have started DiscoverDash.com, a merchant listing and adoption website. This will provide support for adoption activists like Amanda B. Johnson to use, give new users and businesses all the resources they need to start using Dash, and provide a powerful visual statement of how strong and diverse the Dash economy has become.
https://discoverdash.com/

Dash Force YT Contest:
Dash Force is launching a new contest to reward the top 5 Dash YouTube videos and channels. The the top 5 YT videos and/or channels will each receive 1 Dash apiece at the end of the July cycle.

DC is not letting me claim the new DF Proposal. It keeps sending me to last months proposal that had the same name, @rango has been contacted.

Here is the new proposal...

This is an awesome proposal and has my yes votes ;)

Rango really should make this site for masternode owners only. If non masternode owners want to comment there are plenty of places to do so, namely the Dash forum where we can see who has a masternode badge and who does not. We are seeing more and more trolls around here lately, most probably the same person with different sock-puppet accounts.

We would also need to allow Proposal owners obviously but I am inclined to agree. This should purely be for MasterNodes.

I've been following this debate on salary transparency, and whilst I'm all for financial privacy, these guys reek of dishonesty. Is the truth really so much to ask?
Reply
3 points,7 years ago
You should ask the core team first, we follow their lead!
Reply
-1 point,7 years ago
Not a bad point there, Brian. Anyone who is sucking out huge amounts in pure salaries needs to be transparent. You guys are hiding this as if you are already guilty of something really big. I want to see all the salaries, too.
Reply
2 points,7 years ago
Then you should ask core the same question which you have not done, we always follow their lead. Why the double standard?

We have nothing to hide and I will post everyone's salaries if that is what core thinks is best. I don't not think it is smart to do so as people make different amounts and that could cause issues between writers and the part time people some of who get paid a little more than others. It will also cause issues between Dash Force international who will ask why one group gets paid more than the other and demand raises even though some groups may be asked to do more than other groups and hence why they get paid more.

I have no issue with them keeping their salary private. If I were working for any DAO funded team I wouldn't' want my salary to be public knowledge.

$11,750 monthly pay per employee! Wowzers!

Oh right because dash went way up. So now it's like $22,750.

I love what you guys are doing but this is too much money. We need either salary breakdowns(anonymized is better than none at all) or a new proposal with a lower price based on the change of exchange rate.
Reply
1 point,7 years ago
When core decides to disclose salaries we will too, we always follow their lead.

What happens when the price goes down? In this game you win some, you lose some, same goes for all the proposals this cycle, everyone is up not just us. We could just as easily be down and still be expected to do our job, and we would. We would not make a new proposal asking for more money we would just do our job. I've been up and i've been down, I do my job the same either way.

Greetings: Thank you for pointing us to the above stated documentation.

From that data, along with information that part-time contractors are paid 2 dash/per month from mastermined, we can calculate the following:

Salaries per month: 199 Dash
Part-time: 2 * 6 members = 12 Dash
Full-time: 199 - 12 = 187 Dash

187 Dash/ 3 full time = 62.33 Dash per full-time Dash Force New member.

Mark Mason, monthly salary: 62.33 Dash ($11,750 monthly, $141,000 annually)

Joel Valenzuela, monthly salary: 62.33 Dash ($11,750 monthly, $141,000 annually)

Brian FreeMan, monthly salary: 62.33 Dash ($11,750 monthly, $141,000 annually)

I will be offering the previous information in my report. Salutations.

Calm yourself.
When this proposal was submitted and the estimates were provided, dash was only like $80 or something. Wait for the next update geez.

biltong says you are a fraud. lol, good troll, you got me!
Reply
2 points,7 years ago
That information is not correct. Some part time members get paid more than others depending on what job they do. TroyDash volunteered that he got paid 2 Dash but other part time members make more than that.
I make less than 62.33 Dash a month so it would be incorrect to report that.

Greetings: Can you please tell us the June, July, August salaries belonging to Mark Mason, Joel Valenzuela, and Brian Freeman?

Please also tell us the salaries of saikababii, splawik21, TroyDASH, Macrochip, and Solowizkid.

This study focuses on salaries. (This will be submitted to bitlong.)

Cross post from Reddit...

Like core we used to disclose our salaries and everyone was paid the same, however as core and Dash force realized that does not scale when you have part time people with different roles and salaries. The last proposal cycle we moved to a core based accounting system for greater transparency of total salaries. “April estimated budget allocation: Start of new core team based accounting system.”
We are following core’s lead on transparency and have gone above and beyond even that with disclosure and how funds are spent. If you feel we are not doing a good job then you can vote against us if you have a masternode.

The Dash Force team has grown by several members this cycle however the salary allocation has gone down from 199 DASH last month (May) to under 170 this month (June). We will be adding new members (Writers and Dash Force International) this next month or so and I expect the salary allocation to go up next month (July).
I will not be disclosing how much each individual is making at this time. If core decides to disclose their salaries then Dash Force will once again follow their lead and disclose all salaries.

Next week I will be updating the proposal and budget allocations for this month as I always have.

Maybe add to your bitlong report that theres a big reddit thread about this right now and they still arent answering salary questions.

https://www.reddit.com/r/dashpay/comments/6gfnjq/dash_force_news_salaries_of_joel_and_marc/

Seeming pretty fishy since I thought this money mostly went to the tip bot and facebook ad giveaway contests.

Thanks for your support! Yes, we're expanding what we're doing with Dash Force News to include weekly podcasts and videos. One of those will be a weekly "three amigos" podcast where the three Dash Force partners will have a casual sit-down and talk about all we're working on. Sort of like a fun version of Core's conference call, but weekly, so there's no mysteries about how we're kicking butt.

Will do. Personally I'm planning a lot of merchant "evangelism" like I did with Bitcoin last year, as well as leading others to do the same. Once we have a solid best practices guide etc. up, and have flipped a few extra businesses, we can really take it to the next level.

Thanks for the kind words.
Since the beginning we have consistently gotten anywhere from 30 to just over 100 downvotes, but also up to 1000+ upvotes.
It appears to be just one whale with 56 masternodes this time. They never leave a comment saying why they downvoted us or what we could do to change their mind so there is not really much we can do about it.
Thanks again for your support.
