Proposal description

Dash Core Group July 25th Funding Proposals

DCG is submitting 2 funding proposals for the budget cycle that pays out  July 25th:
1) DCG Operations: 4,752 Dash per month (currently in month 1/3)
2) DCG Supplemental proposal: TBD on amount.

What does this specific proposal fund?

This proposal funds Dash Core Group's ongoing operating costs - this includes compensation, legal and infrastructure costs.  This is a single month proposal that will cover operating costs for August to October 2024.

Why is this lower than last month?

The emission reduces by 7% every year, and it just happened.

What is the proposal funding?

As of June 1st, 2024, DCG has 21 paid staff at full time/close to full time associated with the project and 3 part time contributors. In addition, we have 2 volunteers who have decided to work for no compensation and 2 people who have decided to work at minimal compensation. The amount of developers we currently have is given below.

We estimate that our projected run-rate for July for compensation will be around $160,000 and around $6,000 for infrastructure. With this current proposal, we are asking for total funding of $114,048 per month. This is less than our run rate, and even with the supplemental we are underwater a bit. This can continue for a month or two before having to request more funding or reduce the team members of DCG.

What does DCG's current structure look like?

Unbelievable that we're still paying for this. Dev team is checked out and is making sure everything is always broken so that we keep paying them to work on it. Oldest trick in the book

FUD.
v21-rc1 of Core is now available for public testing.
GroveDB v1.0 is now finalised.
TenderDash v1.0 is now finalised.
Platform is on track for v1.0 by the end of the month.

It doesn't matter if it's available for public testing because no one in the public cares enough to test it.
Calling it v1.0 doesn't mean it is finalized. It's a name DCG is selling to make it appear like they succeeded.

Nothing DCG can do will satisfy you, so just vote NO and be constantly upset, it's what you want. The rest of us are happy to see things moving in the right direction and preparing for the upgrade.

You are more or less correct. DCG already lost my vote years ago. But the same thing applies to the rest of you. Nothing DCG fails to do will convince you, just vote YES and be constantly deluded, it's what you want. You're like Biden supporters who think things are headed in the right direction whenever he manages to stand up and make sounds out of his mouth.
