Proposal description
As I have mention throughout my updates from my previous proposal additionally to the multi-news site for DASH and DASH team of writers.
We are also launching a new initiative called DASH Global Meetups where
we will be funding meetups around the world.
We already launched a pilot program of this meetup which gained a lot of
enthusiasm by DASHers across the planet. From Nigeria to South America
to the Caribbean we experience a lot of die hard DASH fans with the
energy to put DASH in the hand of many people including unbanked,
disenfranchized and expats that could be benefited greatly by the chance
of using cryptocurrency.
Here is an interview talking about the project during the DASH Conference:
The goal of DASH Global Meetups is to add structure to the meetups and
also create teams of DASH enthusiasts that could propagate DASH to a
higher amount of people.
At the moment we have been able to build these teams and meetups in the following countries:
- Nigeria
- Mexico
- Ghana
- Dominican Republic
- Venezuela
- Colombia
- Haiti
We expect to have other countries jump into this opportunity as the word
gets spread and we want to formally launch the program with a 1 month
payout and a 120 DASH budget for this.
The budget will be divided the following way:
- Groups need to be small but continuous (preferably weekly)
- Implement the DASH for Drink program (reimburse the assistant consumption)
- Print out DASH promotional material during the meetup
- Publish the meeting publicly and be able to take in people from the general population
- Record clips from the meetups and pictures and upload them as proof
- Create a website with the next events or use an open service like meetup.com
Motivate assistant to participate on the DASH community whenever is
through this forum, slack or telegram. Build a core team that can handle
bigger events.
Depending on the evolution of the community it would be able to access
more funds, for an initial team, the budget should be around 80-150 USD
per meetup. For larger meetups it can accept up to 3 DASH. Even larger
or joined meetups can access more depending on the experience and
criteria followed.
Breakdown:
- Management 5%
- Marketing 10%
- Meetups 85%
Here are some of the pictures from the meetups already being taken place:
https://steemit.com/dash/@jza/dash-global-meetups-around-the-world
We understand the high level of administration that involves funding
these meetups across the different time zones, and places. We will
provide more detailed budget breakdowns on how the money is being used on the forums.
We plan to merge this budget in the future with the other budget that is
currently running regarding the DASH Global websites.
Following the steps of our previous budget this will be a 1 time payment
as further test and adjust the guidelines. However I feel this will
also help us learn the demand our program will generate. If there are
excess in the project, it will go into marketing of the program,
otherwise it would be allocated for the next month of the program as this will
be a continuous program like the news site and podcast.

2) Dashtoneros
3) DASH La Guaira
4) DASH El Hatillo
5) DASH Libertador
6) DASH Valle de La Pascua
7) DASH Cultural

If DASH Global proposal passes and they sponsor these coomunities, they could hold one meetup each week, with the next budget...
Giveaway: 10 peolpe * 5 USD =50 USD
Beverages and snacks: 25 USD
POP Material: 10 USD (wallet papers, flyers)
Organizers incentive: 10 USD
Total = 95 USD
DASH Caracas assumes the commitment of helping in the guidance of these new leaders and others that surely will appear soon enough.
So, dear MNO's, thank you for considering your positive vote for DASH Global's proposal.
Let push for this proposal to pass to keep our work going

MedellÃn love it!!!
That said, meetups by their very nature are decentralized. What's more, the idea that you could manage an entire planet of meetups -- 7 billion people speaking hundreds of languages -- is a farce.
Appreciate the effort, but voting 'no.'
Other reason is because they dont know much english and it doesnt make sense to comment on proposals in english, desnt mean that they dont have an opinion, but the environment is to english-oriented to bother.
Cheers
I wish you all the best
Cheers
I can see this scenario and others being played on most of the communities that we are funding and once they are more developed and work in exchange with DASH community, the value will be clear.
Another reason also has to do with the internet prices and access that are not as affordable or even as prevalent in countries like Nigeria or Ghana where uploading a video is actually an expensive request and can take several days, almost like the modem dial-up days in the middle of 2017. So having agroup that could provide all this information offline is also a great advantage.
The contest idea was great, but it doesnt really apply to most of the communities, specially student communities that have 0 funds to start. It makes it hard to even participate on those contests. Thanks to continous exchange with them online we could come up with frameworks in which the funds can be secured and also be as useful as possible.
At this time we already considering 10 more sites for meetups and will be funding them once the budget kicks in, countries that do not speak english like Angola, Mozambique, Vietnam and Phillipines.
I found that weekly meetups were not the best allocation of money as it basicly just pays for a group of friends to get together every week and have Dash buy their food and drinks. Nothing really wrong with that but i think it is a waste of budget funds to do it every week. This was one of the main changes i had to make to the Dash Force meetup program.
Once a month seems sufficient to get the job done, which is supposed to be about bringing in new people and getting them started with Dash, not throwing weekly parties for the same old members. Weekly parties can work to bring in new members but i think monthly meetups are a wiser use of funds. Groups can still do weekly meetups but would just do it themselves like all other meetups do. Are you still planing to do weekly meetups?
Feel free to copy the Dash Force rules as you will need something in place to prevent abuse of the system.
Do you have any rules in place? How much was spent on meetups so far? How many meetups? How many people attended? Are they listing all them on meetup.com or places like that so new people can Discover Dash and join?
If this proposal passes it should be kept as its own DAO for transparency and accountability purposes. This is not a 5 Dash a month meetup program like Dash Force but a 120 Dash proposal which needs its own DAO.
Do you have any budget documentation showing how all the money from the DASH Global proposal was spent? A full accounting of funds.
I’m looking for a breakdown of expenses like I do for Dash Force. How much was left over/rollover, How much and What was the money spent on? Meetups, monitors, portable laptop handlers, furniture and green and black screen etc etc.
Who is the treasurer?
Here is how I do it every month for Dash Force

Thank you Jason!
We have given regular updates on the forum of the past proposals and haven't really got any feedback on those, so I like to assume it has been done to most of the satisfaction from the network.

I dont know mixing proposals is a good idea, you have done this previously with an older proposal asking for funds reports from a proposal given several months ago. Focusing on the proposal at hand should be the goal here.
We already said we will be given regular updates on the meetups as well as any funds that hasn't been exhausted. Thank you for providing a format example, we will take it into account. Thanks.

We are thankful to DASH Global.
We think that the organizer of the meetup should have an incentive to do this work, and this should be included in the budget for every meetup, as it means the organizers have to do a job inviting to the meetup, organizing the logistics, printing POP material, making the presentation, help position DASH and DASH Global as brands, and then the after-sell contact with the participants, as well as posting all the results.
It takes work and leadership, so my recomendation is that this is rewarded properly so the new leaders can continue doing the job.
So far, in Venezuela, with the help of Dash Global there has been 3 meetups in Caracas and 2 in San Antonio de Los Altos.
There are also other leaders who want to start: DASH Ciudad BolÃvar, DASH Valle de la Pascua, DASH Guanare and DASH La Guaira, at least.
Good luck, DASH Global :-)

We the Bitcuners have been distributing knowledge about DASH and many of our members are working on DASH-base-projects, if this has been made in Cancun, the new Global Meetups Proposal will help to the all small DASH groups to grow up!!
do u have a general timeline how 'long' those 120 Dash will last you ?
Perhaps you could give lessons to the Red Cross....
solarguy
Quickly the communities created to talk about dash, are growing every day, the reception, use, and maintenance of the currency grows, thanks to projects such as the DASH GLOBAL many met Dash Digital Cash !!
Please vote for it
Walter
Where is all the 120 Dash a month going to go?
Please break down your expenses.
Not get confused, JZA is the spokesperson of or community, we are big group of DASHers making a great job for the DASH community.
Ins this two years I try to given conferences with zero results, now with the Dash sponsorship we are growing exponentially every day, we want the funds to replicate the formula. The old way you propose, no work anymore, and never will.
